Suzanne
Ekman
Ms. Ekman is the President of Catalyst Consulting,
with over 20 years experience in Systems Planning,
Design, and Implementation coupled with Process
Reengineering. She specializes in the High Tech/Manufacturing
and Professional Services Industries and has
deep functional knowledge in Finance, Distribution
and Materials Management.
Prior to founding Catalyst Consulting in 1996,
Ms. Ekman was a Sr. Technology Manager with the
Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games, responsible
for designing and implementing all Logistics
processes and systems. This included the planning/ordering/warehousing/delivery/installation
of millions of items to support the Games, uniforming
60,000 personnel in a six week period, and tracking
several hundred thousand loaned technology devices.
The innovative nature of these solutions was
featured in several Logistics publications and
she was awarded the Olympic Certificate of Merit
by the International Olympic Committee. Prior
to this, Ms. Ekman was a Sr. Manager with the
Ernst & Young High Tech Consulting group
in San Jose. She specialized in consulting to
Fortune 500 companies in the areas of: strategic
system planning, ERP implementations, finance
process improvement, benchmarking studies, bar
coding, merger assistance, and development of
forecast and budgeting systems. At Ernst & Young
she was a frequent speaker at professional seminars,
published articles, and in 1988 was awarded “Consulting
Member of the Year”. Ms. Ekman also worked for
IBM in Procurement, Cost Accounting and Financial
Planning and performed pro bono consulting for
the Small Business Administration.
Ms. Ekman graduated summa cum laude from California
Polytechnic State University - San Luis Obispo,
where she received her BS in Business/Accounting.
At Cal Poly, Ms. Ekman was honored to be Student
President of the School of Business and Valedictorian
for Graduation. Ms. Ekman is also a Certified
Public Accountant. |
